Shortly after Farlan's return from Indonesia... as Muftiah sat next to him... one evening... looking through his hundreds of snapshots... he overheard her Receiving out loud...:
"Muftiah Mati"...
He was quite used to hearing her frequently say out loud...:
"Obey ALLAH"... "ALLAH"... and... "ALLAH Guiding"...
during the seven years... they had been married... the Holy Reminders... always Spontaneously Coming Out Of Her Mouth... but this was something... he had never heard her say before... and for some strange reason... the word "mati"... quite nderstandably... later... startled him...
He questioned his wife... and when she told him... that this additional Spontaneous Receiving... Had Started... as soon as he left for Indonesia... he became curious... as to whether "mati"... might possibly be an Indonesian word... having learned to speak the language... quite well... during the six weeks... he had stayed in Indonesia...!
Jumping up... he went to his briefcase... and retrieving his Bahasa Indonesia dictionary... looked it up - and Lo and Behold - it is an Indonesian word... and means... "death and dying of the body"...!
And Muftiah now had some understanding... of the unusual Latihan Kejiwaans... she had been Experiencing... and told Farlan all about them...
Farlan chastised his wife... at first... for not obeying... what had obviously Come From ALLAH... telling her... that he also had felt very separated from her... in Indonesia... almost forgetting her... and wanting to stay there forever...
(Muftiah had already Received... that in a previous incarnation... Farlan had been a Javanese boy... who had died... at the young age of fourteen...)
And now she understood perfectly... how much he had naturally felt at home there...
But when Farlan was joking... with Pak Sudarto one evening... about the contracting business... and the possibility of the two of them going into business together... suddenly Sudarto had stopped the lightness and joking... and said... Receiving...:
"Take Care Of Your Family...!" - end of conversation..!
But Farlan understood perfectly... how Muftiah had felt so unprotected... during his absence... and her unwillingness to leave earth... without first saying farewell to him...
Furthermore... during Ramadan... in July 1982... the strangeness of no longer belonging on earth... was stronger than ever... inside her...
And then... after Farlan Received... that they were to move back to California... and they moved into a new apartment... the familiar feeling of joy... and anticipation... that had always been felt before... during the many times... they had Received to relocate... and had obeyed... was totally absent... with Muftiah feeling no desire... to unpack their household boxes... and transform the apartment... into their special home...!
Then one night... about a week after moving in... the Receiving... about dying on October 28th... at 4 a.m. Came... while Muftiah was watching a late night newscast... with the sound turned off... waiting for it to finish... so that she could watch a late night movie...
What Muftiah saw... flashed on the screen... the instant her Spontaneous Receiving Came of...:
"That's The Way You Are Going To Go!"...
was a car accident...
So naturally... Muftiah asked...:
"Another car accident?"...
(She had been in a near fatal... car accident... a few years earlier... the Miraculous Event... fully described... in her first book... "From The Shadow... Of The Rising Sun"... Part III - Chapter 4...)
And the Instant Answer Came...:
"No!"
Puzzled... she kept watching the TV... and suddenly saw the screen fill up... with a close-up of beautiful Grace Kelly... one of her favorite movie stars of old...!
Her curiosity and interest... thoroughly aroused now... she turned the volume up... but was too late to hear... what the anchorman... had been reporting...
She had to wait... until the next day... to find out... that Princess Grace of Monaco... had died of a stroke... while driving her car... in the Riviera... on the very mountain road... she drove a sports car... racing at top speed... with Cary Grant... Muftiah's all time favorite movie star... sitting cringing beside her... in the movie thriller... "To Catch A Thief"...!
And Muftiah Received then... that just like Grace Kelly... she would be...:
"Dying Of Stroke... On October 28th... At 4 a.m...!"
(In the previous segment... the niece of Muftiah's dear SUBUD Sister... Dianah... the movie star... was erroneously called... Dyan Carol... which should be Dyan Cannon... who was once the wife of Cary Grant... and bore him a daughter... being the only child... he was destined... to ever have... Sorry for the mistake...)
